Are you excited for this Memorial Day weekend? MANMAKER SPORTS is already looking forward to enjoying the Florida sunshine and hanging around pools, going to the beach, and catching up with friends over a not overly scheduled schedule! For most, this long weekend is an opportunity to take time "off" from the hectic day to day to enjoy sunshine and loved ones. But, amidst all of the fun times we mustn't forget the reason for our happy weekend: all of those who have died serving our country.
Memorial Day starts with recognizing and calling up intense gratitude for those patriots who have given their lives for our freedom. Our freedom exists because of the sacrifice of others. Let this fact permeate our hearts and minds and thereby allow us to call up within ourselves the deepest of gratitude. Here is our Memorial Day wish for all of us:
May gratitude play out constantly in our daily lives, and not only this weekend. May we speak to others with kindness, may we be quick to show forgiveness, may we linger in patience, and may we skip judgement to try and see with the eyes of another. May the freedoms we enjoy be bolstered by the awareness of gratitude in all of the things, big and small, that we choose to do.
